Whether we are a light, medium or heavy user of make up, a mask is critical to good skin health. Regardless of our make up routine, type of make up (natural or not), applying make up is either filling or covering our pores to give us that desired look we want, all the while keeping us from good skin health.
Skin problems are caused by a combination of factors, such as pollution, wind, sun, toxins not being expelled properly, excess of skin oil and sebum, dead skin cells and make up.
Each factor contributing to skin congestion in a different way. Our bodies produce toxins every day, if not expelled properly, they find their way out through our skin, causing congested skin. Signs of congested skin are blocked pores (acne problems), uneven skin, dull skin, blackheads and white heads which affects teenagers and adults alike.
Many facial products being used today contain ingredients (chemicals) which are doing more harm than good to your skin. The chemicals used in a lot of the facial products for skin care, are in fact making your skin condition worse not helping.
These chemicals are causing not only premature aging, but the types of ingredients being used, can stop the skin from "breathing", "block pores" and contribute to "congestion of the skin".
Masks, unclog pores letting the skin breathe, detoxifies the skin to help prevent congestion of the skin, removes excess oil (depending on mask type), stimulate blood flow all while tightening the pores, giving a smooth more youthful looking skin, without chemicals, just natural earth elements provided by Mother Nature.
Just 15 to 20 min. a week while getting ready for bed, relaxing with that good book or studying for that class can get you on the road to good skin health and make your face look and feel better.

Mud & Clay Mask Directions:
Mix approximately 1 tablespoon of clay with a few drops of liquid (see liquid options below) to form a paste. Paste should be about the consistency of a thin pancake batter. It should stay put on your face and not run. If you make it too runny just add a little more clay. Apply to clean face in a circular motion (always towards your heart for better blood circulation) avoiding eyes and lips. Allow to sit 10 to 20 min. or until dry and wash off with warm water and pat face dry. If using French Green or Moroccan Red clays you can apply a light Non-Comedogenic (not pore clogging) moisturizing oil like a pure Jojoba or Argan oil.
Dead Sea Mineral Mud Mask Directions:
Remove approximately 1 tabelspoon of mud and Apply to a clean face a generous coating in a circular motion (always towards your heart for better blood circulation) avoiding eyes and lips. Allow to sit 10 to 20 min. or until dry and wash off with warm water and pat face dry.
Note: A mild tingling is common because of the sulphur and high salt content, if it becomes too much wash off and discontinue use, your skin may be too sensitive for dead sea mud use.
